Villa Mágica was created as a sanctuary to connect to the Sacred, within ourselves and with the life that surrounds us. This unique space was inspired and designed by Papá Yuri Yanapay, founder of the Yanantín Sacred Circles, and the Aldea Yanapay Social Project working with local children of Lamay.
The retreat center was founded in a very special space, in the beautiful canyon of Lamay surrounded by the Apus (mountain gods) and blessed by the Carmen River which provides medicinal waters to the local community. Villa Mágica is 50 minutes from the Cusco International Airport, and three hours from Machu Picchu.
Designed as a place for sacred gatherings, Villa Mágica has two small temples open to the surrounding gardens, and the "Casa Sagrada," the main temple which can accommodate more than 100 people. Their conscious kitchen is supplied with herbs and vegetables from the organic gardens.
Tupanataki upholds an ethos of integrity, interconnectedness and heart consciousness, and we feel in right relationship with Villa Mágica, because our stay at the center directly supports Papá Yuri's Aldea Yanapay Social Project, a nonprofit association for caring education and human development. The organization "seeks to remind the human being that all medicine, healing, motivation and development comes from within." Our ten days at Villa Mágica will impact the education of children, adolescents, and their families in the city of Cusco and Lamay.
Nos vemos en Villa Mágica!
